What you're installing
A native Mac app built with Tauri 2 and Rust. Lumen reads and writes the Astro project files already on your computer. No cloud sync, no background server, no extension to install in your editor. When you close the app, nothing keeps running.
System requirements
- macOS 12 Monterey or newer · Apple Silicon and Intel
- An Astro project on disk (any framework integration is fine)
- Node 22.12 or newer if you want Lumen to run your dev server for live preview
Verify the download
Every build is signed and notarized by Apple. Once the first release ships, this page will list the SHA-256 of the .dmg so you can verify integrity yourself.

Windows and Linux builds are on the roadmap. Lumen is built on Tauri, so the underlying machinery already runs cross-platform. We're prioritizing a great Mac experience first.
