Terms of service
The rules for using Lumen, the Pro license, and Relay.
1. The agreement
By downloading or using Lumen ("the app"), you agree to these terms. The app is published by Gray & Co. ("we", "us"). If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, worldwide, non-transferable license to install and run the app. The Free tier permits 1 site. A Pro license permits up to 10 sites. A Studio license permits unlimited sites.
You may not redistribute the app, sell access to it, or remove its copyright notices. You may not reverse engineer the app except where that right is granted by law.
3. Your content stays yours
Lumen edits files that live on your computer. We do not claim any ownership of your content, your code, or your projects. We do not host them. We do not see them.
4. Pro and Studio purchases
Pro and Studio licenses are yearly subscriptions. They renew each year at the rate listed on the pricing page at the time of renewal. You can cancel renewal at any time from your license page; the app remains licensed through the end of the period you paid for.
If something goes wrong with your purchase within 14 days (buyer's remorse, didn't realize what it was, anything), email us and we'll refund you.
5. Updates and changes
Lumen is a young product. We will ship updates that change behavior, add features, and occasionally remove features that aren't working. We'll do our best not to break your projects, but we cannot promise that every version will be backward compatible with every workflow.
6. Warranties
The app is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Always keep backups of your work, ideally in version control, which Lumen is designed around.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you under these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months (which is $0 if you're on the free tier).
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the product changes meaningfully. If we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change counts as acceptance.
